Irish hotel group The Address Collective has expanded its presence in Scotland with the opening of The Address Wren, a boutique penthouse hotel located above Glasgow Central Station.
The new property occupies the top floor of the historic Caledonian Chambers building at 87 Union Street, becoming the seventh hotel in The Address Collective portfolio and the company’s second hotel in Glasgow.
Boutique Hotel in a Historic Landmark
The Address Wren features 30 guestrooms and occupies the penthouse level of Caledonian Chambers, a Category B-listed Edwardian commercial building dating back to the early 1900s.
The landmark property has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment that preserves its historic architectural character while introducing contemporary interiors designed for modern travelers.
Guests reach the hotel via a dedicated lift providing direct access to the penthouse floor.
Intimate Hospitality Experience
Designed as a more intimate alternative to larger city hotels, The Address Wren offers boutique accommodation alongside The Parlour, an exclusive guest lounge for relaxation and informal gatherings.
The hotel complements The Address Glasgow, which opened in the city in 2023, by offering a smaller-scale, design-focused stay in the heart of Glasgow.
Growing Presence in Glasgow
The opening strengthens The Address Collective’s investment in Glasgow’s hospitality sector, where the company now operates two properties.
The group says the new hotel reflects its strategy of combining distinctive historic buildings with personalized hospitality and contemporary design.
Expanding Portfolio
The Address Wren joins The Address Collective’s growing collection of hotels across Ireland and the UK, with properties in Dublin, Cork, Sligo, and Glasgow.
The company is continuing its expansion with additional developments in the pipeline, including The Address Capel Street in Dublin, which is scheduled to open later this year.
