Brown’s Hotel Unveils Paul Smith Grand Suite in London

Brown’s Hotel in London’s Mayfair has unveiled the Paul Smith Grand Suite, a new three-bedroom residence-style accommodation created in collaboration with renowned British designer Sir Paul Smith.

Launching in July 2026, the suite expands on the hotel’s existing Sir Paul Smith Suite, transforming it into a spacious private residence that celebrates British creativity, craftsmanship and contemporary design.

A Celebration of British Design

The Paul Smith Grand Suite brings together two iconic British names: Brown’s Hotel, London’s first luxury hotel, and one of the country’s most celebrated fashion designers. The new accommodation combines the heritage and elegance of the historic hotel with Paul Smith’s distinctive aesthetic, including his signature stripes, bold colours and playful design details.

The three-bedroom suite is connected by its own dedicated Paul Smith hallway, creating an immersive residential experience in the heart of Mayfair.

Designed with Olga Polizzi

The project was developed in collaboration with Olga Polizzi, Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels, who worked closely with Sir Paul Smith to extend the character and personality of the original suite across the expanded space.

Throughout the residence, guests will find bespoke furnishings and decorative elements reflecting the designer’s curiosity, individuality and appreciation for craftsmanship.

British Craftsmanship Throughout

The suite features curtains lined with Paul Smith’s iconic stripes, inspired by tailored suit linings and created with long-time collaborator Maharam Fabrics. The curtains are tied back using genuine Paul Smith neckties, adding one of the designer’s signature playful touches.

Other highlights include rugs from The Rug Company’s 2026 Paul Smith collection, hand-painted Signature Stripe porcelain lamps produced by Stoke-on-Trent craft studio Lyngard, commissioned ceramics by Charlotte Salt and Elaine King, and bespoke glassware created by British artisans Emsie Sharp and Stewart Hearn.

Scottish Harris Tweed fabrics are incorporated throughout the suite, reflecting Paul Smith’s recent ready-to-wear collections and reinforcing the project’s emphasis on traditional British craftsmanship.

A Home Filled with Collectibles

The interior reflects Sir Paul Smith’s well-known passion for collecting unique objects. Guests will discover English antiques, vintage Japanese screen prints celebrating the designer’s long-standing connection with Japan, and a vintage model yacht fitted with sails crafted from Paul Smith shirting fabrics.

Other playful details include cast bronze banana-shaped door handles and carefully selected decorative pieces that create the atmosphere of a stylish private Mayfair residence rather than a traditional hotel suite.

Continuing a Longstanding Partnership

Richard Cooke, Managing Director of Rocco Forte Hotels for the United Kingdom and Northern Europe, described Sir Paul Smith as both a close friend and neighbour of Brown’s Hotel, saying his creativity and positive outlook have made him a natural partner for the property.

The Paul Smith Grand Suite further strengthens Brown’s Hotel’s reputation for offering distinctive luxury experiences while celebrating British design, craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
