BOC Aviation Leases 8 Airbus A321neos to STARLUX Airlines

BOC Aviation has signed a lease agreement with Taiwan-based STARLUX Airlines for eight new Airbus A321neo aircraft, in a move that will expand the carrier’s regional fleet. The aircraft are powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines.

The jets are due to be delivered from 2028 and will support STARLUX’s further expansion across regional routes, according to the companies.

The deal adds to the airline’s growing Airbus narrowbody fleet and underlines continued demand for new fuel-efficient aircraft among Asia’s full-service carriers. The A321neo is designed to offer lower fuel burn and improved range compared with older models.

The A321neo has become a key aircraft for carriers building short- and medium-haul networks because of its size and efficiency. Airlines have increasingly turned to the model as they seek to balance passenger demand with operating costs and emissions targets.
