flynas Opens New Al-Qassim Hub With Domestic and International Routes

Saudi low-cost carrier flynas will establish a new operational hub at Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Al-Qassim beginning in July, becoming the first Saudi airline to operate from six hubs across the Kingdom.

The new hub is being launched in cooperation with Cluster2 Airports Company, which manages airport operations in the region, and forms part of flynas’ wider expansion strategy aimed at strengthening connectivity across Saudi Arabia and beyond.

According to the airline, the first phase of operations will introduce direct flights to five destinations, including three international routes and two domestic services.

International flights from Al-Qassim will connect travelers with Istanbul and Trabzon in Türkiye, as well as Cairo via Sphinx International Airport in Egypt. Domestically, passengers will be able to fly directly to Abha and Dammam.

Sixth Hub in Saudi Arabia

The addition of Al-Qassim marks a significant milestone for flynas, expanding its network of operational hubs to six across the Kingdom.

The airline already operates major hubs in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah and Abha. The new Al-Qassim base is expected to strengthen regional connectivity and provide travelers with more direct travel options without the need to connect through larger Saudi airports.

Located in the heart of Saudi Arabia, Al-Qassim is an important agricultural, commercial and tourism region, making it a strategic location for both domestic and international air services.

Supporting Growth Plans

flynas said the expansion supports its long-term growth strategy under the slogan “We Connect the World to the Kingdom,” which aligns with broader efforts to improve air connectivity and support Saudi Arabia’s tourism and economic development goals.

The airline plans to gradually increase services from the new hub, with ambitions to significantly expand the number of destinations served from Al-Qassim in the coming years.

Future phases are expected to include additional domestic and international routes as demand grows and network opportunities develop.

Expanding Regional Connectivity

The launch of direct flights to Istanbul, Trabzon and Cairo reflects strong demand for travel between Saudi Arabia and some of the region’s most popular leisure, business and visiting-friends-and-relatives markets.

Meanwhile, the domestic links to Abha and Dammam will improve connectivity between central Saudi Arabia and key destinations in both the south and east of the country.

With the addition of Al-Qassim, flynas continues to expand its footprint across Saudi Arabia while increasing travel options for passengers and supporting the Kingdom’s ambitions to become a major global aviation and tourism hub.
