Fly Jinnah Seeks Approval for New Islamabad-Moscow Flights

Pakistani low-cost carrier Fly Jinnah has taken a step toward launching flights between Islamabad and Moscow after requesting airport slots at Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

However, the proposed service has not yet received the necessary approvals from aviation authorities, meaning the route remains subject to regulatory clearance before operations can begin.

Slot Request Submitted

According to representatives of Domodedovo Airport, Fly Jinnah has formally requested airport slots as part of the standard process required for opening a new international route.

Airport officials confirmed that the airline’s application has been received but emphasized that approvals from the relevant aviation authorities have not yet been granted.

Under international aviation procedures, airlines must secure both airport operating slots and regulatory permissions before launching scheduled services.

Islamabad Flights Appear in Schedule

Reports circulating on social media and aviation-focused Telegram channels indicated that flights operated by Fly Jinnah had appeared in Domodedovo Airport’s schedule system.

According to the published information, the airline is targeting July 27 as the tentative launch date for the route.

The proposed nonstop service between Islamabad and Moscow would have an estimated flight time of approximately nine hours.

Potential New Link Between Pakistan and Russia

If approved, the route would strengthen air connectivity between Pakistan and Russia and provide an additional travel option for passengers flying between the two countries.

Fly Jinnah, a low-cost carrier based in Pakistan, has been expanding its network in recent years and operates as a joint venture between Pakistan’s Lakson Group and Air Arabia.

The airline currently serves a growing network of domestic and international destinations across South Asia, the Middle East and neighboring regions.

Awaiting Regulatory Approval

For now, the launch of the Islamabad-Moscow service remains contingent upon obtaining the necessary approvals from aviation regulators.

Until those permissions are granted, the appearance of flights in scheduling systems should be viewed as preliminary planning rather than confirmation that ticket sales or operations will begin as scheduled.
