Contour Airlines Adds New Myrtle Beach Flights From Altoona And Parkersburg For Summer 2026

Contour Airlines is expanding its seasonal leisure network with the launch of new nonstop routes connecting two regional airports in the northeastern United States with Myrtle Beach, one of America’s most popular summer destinations.

The new services will provide direct access from Altoona, Pennsylvania and Parkersburg, West Virginia, as airlines continue increasing seasonal capacity to high-demand leisure markets.

Both routes begin operations on July 1, 2026 and will operate twice weekly during the peak summer travel season.

New Nonstop Flights Launch From Altoona To Myrtle Beach

New seasonal flights between Altoona-Blair County Airport and Myrtle Beach International Airport will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays from July 1 through August 22, 2026.

Outbound flights from Altoona will depart at 1:15 p.m. and arrive in Myrtle Beach at 3:05 p.m.

Return flights will leave Myrtle Beach at 3:45 p.m. and land back in Altoona at 5:35 p.m.

The route provides travelers across Central Pennsylvania with direct access to South Carolina’s coast without requiring long drives to larger airports.

Parkersburg Also Gains Seasonal Myrtle Beach Service

Contour is also introducing seasonal service between Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport and Myrtle Beach.

Flights from Parkersburg will operate between July 1 and August 15, 2026, also on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Departures from Parkersburg are scheduled for 11:50 a.m. with arrival in Myrtle Beach at 1:35 p.m.

Return services leave Myrtle Beach at 2:15 p.m. and arrive back in Parkersburg at 4:00 p.m.

Regional Airports Continue Expanding Leisure Connectivity

Contour Airlines will operate both routes using 30-seat regional jets equipped with additional legroom and complimentary snacks and beverages.

The expansion reflects growing demand for direct leisure routes from smaller regional airports where passengers increasingly seek alternatives to larger, congested hubs.

For airports in Altoona and Parkersburg, the new services also represent efforts to strengthen regional connectivity, support local economic activity and expand tourism opportunities.

As airlines continue shifting capacity toward high-demand leisure markets, seasonal beach routes remain among the fastest-growing segments in regional aviation.
