British Airways has unveiled its latest batch of Avios-Only flights, giving loyalty members access to dedicated reward services to Tenerife and Reykjavík during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
The new flights are aimed at travelers planning October half-term escapes and will be available exclusively through The British Airways Club, with every seat across every cabin redeemable using Avios points.
The latest release expands British Airways’ growing Avios-Only programme, which was introduced to improve reward seat availability during periods of high demand.
Tenerife And Reykjavík Added For October Half-Term
The airline will operate dedicated reward flights between London Heathrow and Tenerife departing on October 24, 2026, with return flights scheduled for October 31.
Travelers choosing Tenerife can access one of Europe’s most popular winter sun destinations during a peak travel week when demand for sunshine holidays traditionally increases.
For customers seeking colder-weather adventures, British Airways will also operate dedicated flights between London Heathrow and Reykjavík departing October 25 and returning November 1.
The Iceland route offers travelers access to geothermal attractions, volcanic landscapes and potential Northern Lights experiences during the autumn season.
Reward Flights Available Exclusively Through Avios
Every seat across all cabins on these services will only be available through Avios redemptions rather than standard cash bookings.
Economy passengers will be able to book return flights from £5 plus 33,500 Avios, while Club Europe passengers can secure return travel from £40 plus 60,000 Avios.
Checked baggage is included across bookings, according to the airline.
The dedicated flights continue British Airways’ strategy of increasing reward availability on routes where seats can become difficult to secure during peak travel periods.
Avios-Only Programme Continues Expanding
Since launching in 2023, British Airways says it has operated more than 50 Avios-Only services across destinations in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
The airline says strong demand from loyalty members has encouraged further expansion of the concept.
Passengers using British Airways American Express Companion Vouchers can also apply them when booking these services, potentially reducing redemption costs further.
British Airways says members can book the new flights through standard booking channels as soon as seats become available.
