The update comes as concerns remain over jet fuel markets following the Iran conflict, which has created volatility across global energy and aviation sectors.
Jet2 Says Summer Schedule Will Continue Normally
Despite the wider uncertainty surrounding fuel supplies, Jet2 said it expects to operate its summer flight schedule as planned.
The airline stated it has received positive updates regarding fuel availability and remains in regular communication with suppliers.
Steve Heapy, Chief Executive Officer of Jet2, said the current market picture showed increased production and imports, allowing the airline to continue planning confidently for the summer season.
He added that the company remains fully prepared for a busy summer period and encouraged travellers to continue booking holidays.
UK Government Says No Immediate Fuel Shortage
The reassurance follows guidance from the UK Government, which stated that British airlines are not currently experiencing jet fuel shortages.
Officials also noted that airlines typically secure fuel supplies well in advance, helping reduce immediate operational risks during periods of geopolitical instability.
The government has not advised travellers to change or cancel summer holiday plans.
Jet2 Rules Out Fuel Surcharges
Jet2 has also previously confirmed that it does not plan to introduce additional surcharges on existing flight or holiday bookings to offset rising operational costs linked to fuel market fluctuations.
The airline said maintaining price certainty remains important for customers booking summer travel.
Middle East Tensions Continue Affecting Aviation Markets
The aviation industry has been closely monitoring global fuel markets following heightened tensions in the Middle East, one of the world’s most important energy-producing regions.
Airlines globally remain sensitive to changes in fuel prices, as jet fuel continues representing one of the sector’s largest operating expenses.
However, several carriers have recently indicated that current supply conditions remain stable despite geopolitical concerns.
European Summer Travel Demand Remains Strong
Jet2’s latest statement comes as European airlines prepare for one of the busiest summer travel seasons in recent years.
Strong leisure demand, continued growth in Mediterranean tourism and rising consumer confidence in holiday travel have encouraged airlines to maintain high summer capacity across key European destinations.
