Virgin Hotels has announced plans to open Virgin Hotels Atlanta in 2027 as the brand continues expanding its international hospitality portfolio.
The new hotel will be developed in partnership with real estate company Drew Company and will form part of Centennial Yards, a major 50-acre redevelopment project transforming downtown Atlanta into a mixed-use entertainment and cultural district.
Atlanta Property Expands Global Virgin Hotels Portfolio
The Atlanta hotel will become the 18th property within the Virgin Hotels Collection portfolio.
The expansion follows continued growth for the brand, which already operates properties in destinations including New York, Edinburgh and London, alongside a newly announced Virgin Limited Edition hotel in Marrakech scheduled to open in 2027.
Virgin Hotels CEO Joe Margison said the company sees strong strategic connections between Atlanta and the wider Virgin travel network, including existing Virgin Atlantic services linking the city with London and Manchester.
261 Rooms Planned With Signature Virgin Design
The hotel will include 261 guest rooms designed around Virgin Hotels’ “Chambers” concept, which separates sleeping, working and relaxation areas within the room layout.
Accommodation options will include Grand King Chambers, one-bedroom suites, premium upper-floor rooms and a Penthouse Suite.
The property will also feature “Richard’s Flat,” the brand’s flagship suite concept known for elevated service and distinctive interior design.
Food, Beverage And Rooftop Experiences Planned
Virgin Hotels Atlanta will include three dedicated food and beverage venues.
Plans include a ground-floor lobby bar, a signature restaurant with poolside dining and private event space, and a rooftop bar and lounge overlooking the Atlanta skyline.
The rooftop venue is expected to function as a major social and entertainment space for events and nightlife.
Pool Deck And Event Space Included
The hotel will also feature a large outdoor pool deck with private cabanas and a seasonal outdoor bar.
In addition, the property will offer approximately 2,900 square feet of flexible meeting and event space designed for private functions and social gatherings.
Part Of Major Downtown Atlanta Redevelopment
The project forms part of the wider Centennial Yards redevelopment initiative being delivered by Centennial Yards Company and CIM Group.
Virgin Hotels said the Atlanta property is intended to reflect the city’s cultural identity and energy while bringing the brand’s design-led hospitality concept to downtown Atlanta.
