Condor and Southwest Airlines Sign New Interline Deal, Launching First Connections in Seattle

Condor has taken another step in expanding its U.S. connectivity, signing a new interline agreement with Southwest Airlines that will give passengers easier links between Germany and key U.S. destinations. The partnership begins on Jan. 19 with connections in Seattle, marking the start of a phased rollout.

The cooperation will broaden significantly in the spring, when Condor resumes its seasonal Frankfurt services to Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland and San Francisco. At that point, passengers will be able to book combined itineraries that pair Condor’s transatlantic flights with Southwest’s extensive domestic network across the United States.

Tickets for these interline journeys are already available via Condor’s website, travel agencies and major OTAs. As with the other partnerships Southwest has unveiled this year, these itineraries are not yet bookable on Southwest.com.

The move continues Southwest’s strategy shift in 2025, as the airline breaks from its decades-long stance of avoiding cross-carrier cooperation. Over the past year Southwest has launched interline partnerships with Icelandair, EVA Air, China Airlines and Philippine Airlines. Condor now becomes its fifth partner and the second European carrier in the portfolio.

For Condor, the agreement complements its existing U.S. partnerships. The airline already codeshares with Alaska Airlines on connections from Seattle and other western hubs, providing an even wider range of options for travelers linking into the U.S. West Coast and beyond.

As transatlantic demand continues to rise, the collaboration positions both carriers to capture connecting traffic while offering passengers smoother, more flexible travel options between Germany and the United States.
