Marriott Bonvoy has unveiled its new “Pawssible Journey” initiative across Greater China, transforming hotel stays into unforgettable experiences for guests and their pets. Beginning this November, the program introduces a trio of themed offerings – “Paw Stay,” “Paw Play,” and “Paw Mart” – designed to celebrate the growing bond between travellers and their furry companions.
A New Era of Pet-Friendly Travel
Participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels across China will roll out pet-focused amenities and activities that combine comfort, creativity, and connection. The newly opened Moxy Shanghai Putuo will debut “Paw Stay” rooms, complete with separate cat and dog accommodations. Each room includes themed cushions, mats, bowls, and tent-style pet beds, while cat rooms add thoughtful touches like scratching posts for a cozy, home-like feel.
At Le Méridien Xi’an Chanba, guests can enjoy “Paw Play” social spaces and themed events, such as pet-friendly afternoon teas and interactive bonding activities. Meanwhile, Aloft Taipei Beitou and other participating properties will feature “Paw Mart” retail corners offering stylish accessories, from portable pet bowls to custom bandanas and canvas bags – perfect souvenirs for pet-loving travellers.

Making Every Stay Count
To make each visit even more special, Marriott Bonvoy introduces the “Paw Passport”, a collectible keepsake that records every pet-friendly stay. Upon check-in, guests can create a personalized pet profile detailing their companion’s breed, personality, and preferences. Each stay earns stamps toward Silver Paw (1 night), Gold Paw (3 nights), and Platinum Paw (5 nights) tiers, unlocking exclusive perks along the way.
Select hotels will also offer a “Pet-Friendly Map”, pointing out nearby walking routes, pet-welcoming cafés, and veterinary clinics. Guests can also look forward to “Walls of Paws” in hotel lobbies, celebrating four-legged visitors with portraits and stories, as well as custom “Paw in Hand” strollers to make exploring more comfortable for pets.
In addition, Marriott Bonvoy is teaming up with Juneyao Airlines for a cross-industry collaboration that rewards loyal members with unique pet-friendly travel experiences. A joint lucky draw campaign offers a “Fly with Pet” package including a flight from Shanghai to Beijing and a two-night stay at a participating Marriott Bonvoy hotel – an exclusive treat for pet lovers seeking new adventures.
