LOT Polish Airlines has officially launched a new direct connection between Warsaw and Marrakech, offering travelers a convenient gateway to Morocco’s vibrant culture and year-round sunshine. The seasonal route will operate twice weekly, with flights from Warsaw on Wednesdays at 9:10 and Saturdays at 10:15 (LO163). Return flights from Marrakech (LO164) will depart at 14:55 on Wednesdays and 15:55 on Saturdays, local time.
The journey takes approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes and will be served by modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft, providing passengers with enhanced comfort and efficiency. Flights are scheduled to run through May 9, 2026.
According to Robert Ludera, Director of the LOT Polish Airlines Network Office, the new service opens a gateway to one of North Africa’s most captivating destinations. “A direct flight from Warsaw provides easy access to Morocco – a country that combines sunshine, culture, and exotic charm within just a few hours of travel. Marrakech is the perfect destination for the winter season. It can serve as both a relaxing escape and a starting point for exploring the country—from the vast Sahara dunes to mountain villages at the foot of the Atlas or the beaches of the Atlantic coast. This route lets travelers experience the many faces of Morocco, from the bustling medinas to the tranquility of the desert.”
Marrakech, known as the “Red City,” enchants visitors with its sensory richness and ancient heritage. The narrow alleys of the medina are alive with the scent of spices—cinnamon, coriander, saffron, and mint—blending with the aromas of freshly baked bread, mint tea, and burning incense. The sounds of daily life fill the air: the calls of merchants, the rhythm of drums, and the melodies of gnawa musicians echoing through Jamaa el-Fna Square.
Moroccan cuisine adds another layer to this sensory journey. Traditional dishes like tagine—slow-cooked vegetables, meat, and dried fruit in clay pots—reflect centuries of culinary tradition. The sweetness of almond pastries, the fragrance of couscous spiced with ras el hanout, and the ritual of mint tea embody the warmth and hospitality of Moroccan culture.
For travelers seeking unforgettable experiences, Morocco’s palette of colors is as diverse as its landscapes—from the red hues of Marrakech’s walls and the deep blues of Chefchaouen to the golden tones of the Sahara dunes and the snowy peaks of the Atlas Mountains. As day fades into night, the glow of lanterns in the medina and the starry desert skies offer a timeless invitation to return.
With the launch of the Warsaw–Marrakech route, LOT Polish Airlines continues to expand its reach to culturally rich destinations, blending leisure and exploration with the airline’s signature comfort and service.
