London-based design studio PriestmanGoode, known for redefining passenger experience across air, rail, and hospitality, has unveiled a new interior concept that reimagines private aviation. The project, titled Private Sanctuary, takes over 30 years of expertise from commercial aircraft design and applies it to the world of luxury private flight, merging comfort, technology, and sustainability into one seamless environment.
The concept originated from a workshop on the evolution of luxury hosted by PriestmanGoode during the RedCabin Business Jet and VIP Interior Innovation Summit in Montréal in 2024. Designers and industry experts were invited to explore future trends in wellbeing, personalization, and conscious material use. The insights gathered there became the foundation for a new vision of onboard living — one that blends adaptability, serenity, and high design.
Positioned at the rear of an Airbus A350, away from shared spaces, Private Sanctuary makes full use of the cabin’s width, with windows on both sides and no dividing hallway. The space is divided into four bespoke zones that flow naturally from one to the next, each designed to respond to the passenger’s needs throughout the flight.
The journey begins with an adaptive living area that transitions effortlessly from a social lounge to a cocooned cinema or even a private gym. Moveable seats, responsive lighting, and hidden storage enable the transformation, while an integrated live-screen system connects passengers to their personal trainer or wellness coach on the ground.
Next comes a calming workspace designed for focus, therapy, or meditation. A floating desk within a softly lit alcove provides an intimate setting enhanced by dark textures and integrated storage, creating a sense of balance and privacy.
Toward the rear, the full-width bedroom and dressing area offer a restorative escape. The centerpiece — a central unit that morphs from a vanity with shelves and amenities into an entertainment console with a built-in screen — exemplifies the studio’s signature versatility.
Completing the experience is a refined bathroom space, where rippled glass, atmospheric lighting, and advanced wellness features merge high technology with holistic tranquility.
In Private Sanctuary, PriestmanGoode redefines the meaning of luxury in flight: not through excess, but through intelligent design that adapts to the rhythms of its passengers — a serene retreat that travels at 40,000 feet.
