Cosmos Hotel Group has announced a major expansion in Russia’s Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD), signing multiple agreements with developers and investors to manage and franchise ten new hotels across Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories, Kamchatka, Magadan, and Yakutia.
The group aims to add more than 2,000 rooms in the region over the next three to five years, strengthening its presence in one of Russia’s fastest-growing tourism markets.
A flagship project will rise in Lazurnaya Bay (Shamora), Primorsky Krai, through a partnership with developers Yug and MADO. The development, valued at RUB 4.5 billion ($53 million), will include a 995-key complex featuring both apartment-style accommodations and a hotel. The first 564 units are expected to open by late 2027 or early 2028, with full completion scheduled between 2028 and 2030.
The apartment complex will operate under the Cosmos Stay brand, adhering to four-star standards, while the 164-room hotel will debut under the three-star Cosmos Smart brand. Amenities will include cafes, restaurants, wellness facilities, fitness areas, and a 290-space parking facility, positioning Lazurnaya Bay as a year-round resort destination.
“This project has significant potential to become a year-round tourist hub,” said Alexander Biba, President of Cosmos Hotel Group. “Our experience will ensure a high level of service for guests while supporting the tourism and investment appeal of the Far East.”
At the Eastern Economic Forum 2025, the company also signed agreements for additional properties, including a 103-room hotel in central Vladivostok, a 70-key aparthotel in Nakhodka, and a 150-key hotel near Khabarovsk International Airport. Other projects include:
Cosmos Selection Vladivostok Golden Horn, a 144-key five-star complex
Cosmos Collection Kamchatka, a 231-key resort in partnership with AFK Sistema’s OOO Sistema Sibir
Hotels in Magadan (121 keys) and Yakutia (148 keys) in collaboration with Tourism.rf
Founded in 2018, Cosmos Hotel Group currently operates 41 hotels across 26 Russian cities. With its expansion in the FEFD, the company is positioning itself as a key player in developing the region’s tourism infrastructure.
