Cosmos Hotel Group has strengthened its presence in Western Siberia after adding a new property in Surgut to its portfolio. From July 1, the former City Park Hotel began operating under the name Cosmos Surgut City Park Hotel as part of the company’s expanding federal hotel network.
The hotel joins the Cosmos Hotels brand under a franchise agreement between Cosmos Hotel Group and construction and investment company Surgutgazstroy. The partnership aims to introduce the operator’s hospitality standards, technology platforms and loyalty programme to the existing property.
Federal Standards and Hotel Integration
Under the agreement, the hotel owner will continue operating the property in line with Cosmos Hotel Group’s standards. The collaboration includes access to the company’s central reservation system, IT infrastructure, operational procedures, employee training through Cosmos Academy and the Cosmos loyalty programme.
Alexander Biba, President of Cosmos Hotel Group, said the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (Yugra) continues to emerge as one of Western Siberia’s fastest-growing tourism destinations, driven by strong business activity and regional investment in tourism development.
According to Biba, the rebranding is expected to strengthen the hotel’s market position, improve service quality and attract more guests through the visibility of the national Cosmos network. Cosmos Hotel Group already operates a hotel in Kogalym and says the region consistently ranks among the company’s fastest-growing destinations by guest numbers.
Four-Star Hotel in Central Surgut
Originally opened in 2007, the hotel is located on Lenin Avenue in the centre of Surgut, approximately 20 to 25 minutes by car from Surgut International Airport.
Following its integration into the Cosmos portfolio, the property will operate as a four-star hotel offering 102 guestrooms designed for both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel’s facilities include two restaurants, a conference hall for up to 80 delegates, a panoramic banquet venue on the 17th floor overlooking the city, a fitness centre, spa area, cinema and retail outlets.
The addition of the Surgut property further expands Cosmos Hotel Group’s franchise network as the company continues to grow its presence across Russia through partnerships with independent hotel owners.
