Hilton Opens Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo in Brazil

Hilton has expanded its presence in Brazil with the opening of Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo, introducing the lifestyle-focused brand to the country for the first time. The 132-room property also marks Hilton’s debut in Recife, one of northeastern Brazil’s most culturally rich and historic destinations.

Developed in partnership with REVPAR Incorporações, MUV Empreendimentos and Atlantica Hospitality International, the hotel is located in Recife Antigo, the city’s historic district. The opening forms part of Hilton’s broader growth strategy across Latin America, where the company continues to expand its portfolio of lifestyle and premium hospitality brands.

The new hotel is designed for travelers seeking immersive local experiences, placing guests within walking distance of Recife’s cultural landmarks, waterfront attractions and vibrant urban atmosphere.

Design Inspired By Pernambuco’s Diverse Landscapes

The architecture and interior design of Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo draw inspiration from the contrasting landscapes of Pernambuco state, from its arid inland regions to its Atlantic coastline.

Warm earth tones dominate the ground-floor spaces, reflecting the state’s interior landscapes, while the rooftop area has been designed to evoke the openness and lightness of the sea. Throughout the hotel, guests will find artistic references to regional culture, including illustrations inspired by Cordel literature and handcrafted carpets celebrating local traditions.

The design concept aims to create a strong connection between visitors and the cultural identity of northeastern Brazil.

Flexible Rooms Designed For Modern Travelers

Guest rooms feature nature-inspired décor and multifunctional furniture designed to maximize comfort and flexibility. Depending on room type, accommodations include bunk beds, sofa beds and adaptable layouts that cater to solo travelers, families and groups.

The property also incorporates Hilton’s Confirmed Connecting Room technology, allowing guests to reserve connected accommodations before arrival. With 42 connecting rooms available, groups can link up to four rooms together, providing greater convenience for families and friends traveling together.

The approach reflects the Motto brand’s focus on efficient design without sacrificing comfort or functionality.

Local Dining Experiences At The Heart Of The Hotel

Dining plays a central role in the guest experience, with culinary venues designed to serve both travelers and local residents.

The rooftop restaurant offers daily breakfast accompanied by views of the sea and surrounding waterways, while the ground-floor café welcomes visitors exploring Recife Antigo. Menus have been developed to showcase regional flavors and ingredients while reflecting the diversity of Pernambuco’s culinary traditions.

The hotel aims to position its food and beverage venues as neighborhood gathering places rather than solely hotel facilities.

Prime Location In Historic Recife

Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo is located just two blocks from Marco Zero, the historic square considered the cultural heart of Recife. The area is known for its colonial architecture, museums, galleries and vibrant cultural events.

The hotel also provides easy access to Boa Viagem Beach, one of Brazil’s best-known urban beaches, as well as the city’s Afro-Brazilian cultural attractions and waterfront districts.

The location allows guests to explore Recife’s history, cuisine and artistic heritage while staying in the center of the city’s most historic neighborhood.

Part Of Hilton’s Continued Growth In Brazil

The opening adds to Hilton’s growing presence in Brazil, where the company now operates more than 25 hotels across multiple brands. Hilton has also announced plans to add nearly 30 additional properties throughout the country in the coming years.

Across the Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton currently operates nearly 300 hotels and resorts, with more than 160 additional properties in development.

By introducing Motto to Brazil, Hilton is targeting a new generation of travelers seeking authentic local experiences, flexible accommodations and deeper connections with the destinations they visit.
