Dua Lipa And Callum Turner Marry At The White Lotus Palace In Sicily

Pop superstar Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner celebrated their wedding with an extravagant ceremony in Palermo, transforming one of Sicily’s most historic palaces into the backdrop for one of the year’s most talked-about celebrity events.

The couple exchanged vows at Villa Valguarnera, an 18th-century aristocratic estate outside Palermo, where hundreds of guests gathered for a celebration blending Sicilian traditions with high-profile entertainment.

Historic Sicilian Palace Hosted Star-Studded Celebration

The monumental gardens of Villa Valguarnera were decorated with satin bows, traditional Sicilian sugared almonds and embroidered handkerchiefs carrying the message “stay mad with me forever” – a reference to local wedding customs.

Guests were also given handmade fans to help manage the Sicilian summer heat.

Among attendees were Charli XCX and Donatella Versace.

Elton John Performance And Michelin Dining

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a private performance from Elton John, who reportedly performed “Your Song” for the newlyweds.

Italian media reported that dinner was prepared by Michelin-starred chefs before celebrations continued late into the night.

Music for the reception included sets from internationally known DJs including Carl Cox, Martin Garrix, David Guetta and Peggy Gou.

Local authorities reportedly allowed performances to continue beyond the villa’s usual midnight curfew.

A Palace With A Remarkable History

Villa Valguarnera itself carries a remarkable history.

Today owned by writer-princess Vittoria Alliata di Villafranca, the palace was previously associated with decades of decline and reportedly served as a mafia hideout before restoration efforts brought it back to life in 2020.

The palace is also familiar to television audiences after appearing in the opening credits of season two of The White Lotus.

Guests Stayed At One Of Sicily’s Most Expensive Hotels

Many guests, including the couple, reportedly stayed at Villa Igiea, a Rocco Forte hotel in Palermo that was also used during filming for The White Lotus.

The property reportedly commands rates of around €6,000, or about $6,900, per night during peak periods.

The celebrations ended with a large fireworks display visible across much of Palermo, closing one of Sicily’s most extravagant celebrity weddings in recent years.
