Bob W is expanding its presence in Germany with plans for a new design-led aparthotel in Stuttgart’s historic Bad Cannstatt district, bringing its technology-focused hospitality model to one of the city’s most culturally significant neighborhoods.
Scheduled to open in 2027, the development will introduce 136 serviced apartments alongside lifestyle amenities designed to attract both short and extended stay travelers.
The project reflects continued growth within the aparthotel sector as operators increasingly target travelers seeking flexibility, technology integration and locally inspired accommodation experiences.
New Aparthotel Will Transform Historic Site
The new development will occupy a site covering more than 3,000 square meters and is being constructed on the location of a former World War II bunker.
The property will include 136 smart apartments distributed across five floors and will incorporate communal spaces designed to encourage longer stays and social interaction.
Planned facilities include a shared kitchen, lounge areas, co-working spaces and laundry facilities.
The project highlights growing demand for hospitality concepts blending residential comfort with hotel-style services.
Wellness And Lifestyle Features Expand Guest Experience
A large fitness facility will become one of the property’s central lifestyle components, occupying approximately 550 square meters on the ground floor.
The fitness area will be operated separately and is intended to serve both hotel guests and the wider local community.
Developers say the combination of hospitality and lifestyle amenities aims to create a stronger neighborhood connection rather than operating as a traditional hotel environment.
The concept reflects broader trends where mixed-use hospitality developments increasingly incorporate wellness and community spaces.
Design Concept Draws Inspiration From Local Heritage
The new property will be located within walking distance of Bad Cannstatt railway station, providing access to Stuttgart city center and regional transportation networks.
Interior design plans draw heavily from local history and cultural landmarks, incorporating references to automotive heritage, natural surroundings and regional architecture.
Developers say the project intends to create an immersive local experience rather than a standardized hospitality product.
The opening will further strengthen Bob W’s expansion strategy as technology-powered hospitality brands continue growing across European urban markets.
