The Luce Hotel Set To Open On St. Pete Beach This June

The Luce, a newly reimagined beachfront hotel on Florida’s Gulf Coast, is preparing to welcome guests to St. Pete Beach starting 11 June.

Now part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio, the 200-room property combines boutique coastal design, large-scale resort amenities and a distinctly Floridian atmosphere aimed at both leisure travellers and local visitors.

New Tribute Portfolio Hotel Opens On St. Pete Beach

The Luce has been transformed from a long-standing St. Pete Beach boutique hotel into a fully redesigned lifestyle resort operated by Crescent Hotels & Resorts and owned by LCP and Safanad.

The hotel features 200 accommodations, including bungalow-style studio suites and poolside lanai rooms designed around indoor-outdoor living.

Design elements throughout the property draw inspiration from retro Florida aesthetics, Sunken Gardens and Gulf Coast beach culture, blending flamingo-pink tones, rattan textures and modern stone finishes.

Beachfront Dining And Social Spaces Highlight Resort Experience

At the centre of the property is Sundrop, a coastal-inspired indoor-outdoor restaurant and bar serving daily brunch and dinner alongside pool and beach service.

The menu features Gulf seafood towers, oysters, Wagyu steak, lobster rolls, citrus-forward cocktails and brunch dishes including lemon mascarpone pancakes and burrata avocado toast.

The hotel also plans to open Baby Turtle Beach Club in autumn 2026, offering casual coastal dining directly on the beach and pool deck.

Largest Pool On St. Pete Beach

The Luce will feature what the property describes as the largest swimming pool on St. Pete Beach, combined with private beach access and complimentary loungers. :contentReference[oaicite:8]{index=8}

A dedicated Beach Butler service will assist guests with seating, charging stations and curated amenity boxes containing beach essentials such as sunscreen and cooling mist sprays.

Additional programming includes live DJ sessions, yoga classes, lawn games, sunset social events, poolside cabanas and a 24-hour fitness centre.

Art And Design Play Major Role In Hotel Identity

The property also features a large-scale lobby mural created by Filipino-American artist Marianne Angeli Rodriguez.

The artwork combines abstract coastal imagery with vibrant colours inspired by Florida landscapes and has already become a focal point within the hotel.

Growing Luxury Hospitality Market In St. Pete Beach

The opening of The Luce adds another major hospitality project to Florida’s Gulf Coast tourism market, where lifestyle-focused beachfront resorts continue expanding.

The property also includes 14,000 square feet of event space, including a ballroom and outdoor venues capable of hosting weddings, corporate gatherings and private events for up to 200 guests.

Located close to downtown St. Petersburg, the hotel provides access to museums, galleries, restaurants and Gulf Coast beaches while remaining within reach of both Tampa International Airport and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.
