Explora Journeys has opened sales for its Summer 2028 Journeys Collection, marking a major milestone for the luxury cruise brand with the debut of EXPLORA VI and the completion of its planned six-ship fleet.
The launch represents the first time all six Explora Journeys vessels will sail simultaneously across global itineraries, significantly expanding the brand’s international presence.
178 Destinations Across 27 Countries
The Summer 2028 collection will span 178 destinations across 27 countries, covering the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, Iceland, Greenland, and the North American East Coast.
The itineraries include overnight stays in cities such as New York, Reykjavik, Istanbul, Lisbon, Stockholm, Quebec City, and Amsterdam, alongside late departures from several major ports.
Guests will also have access to inaugural calls in destinations including Korčula in Croatia, Runavík in the Faroe Islands, and Djúpivogur in Iceland.
EXPLORA VI Debuts In The Mediterranean
The highlight of the season will be the arrival of EXPLORA VI in August 2028, bringing the fleet to its full planned scale.
The ship’s inaugural sailing will operate from Rome to Barcelona before continuing across Mediterranean itineraries featuring Sicily, Sardinia, the French Riviera, and later Adriatic sailings including Dubrovnik, Trogir, and Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor.
EXPLORA VI will operate 13 journeys between August and November 2028.
Mediterranean And Northern Europe Expansion
EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II will focus heavily on Mediterranean itineraries between April and October 2028.
EXPLORA I will visit 25 destinations across six countries, including the Aegean, Adriatic, Cyclades, Dodecanese islands, and the Turkish coast.
EXPLORA II will sail to 36 destinations across Iberia, North Africa, Madeira, and the French and Italian Rivieras, with overnight stays in Lisbon and late departures from Ibiza, Capri, and Casablanca.
Meanwhile, EXPLORA IV and EXPLORA V will operate Northern Europe, Baltic Sea, Norwegian fjord, Icelandic, Greenlandic, and North Atlantic voyages.
EXPLORA IV alone will visit 51 destinations across 15 countries between May and October.
Alaska Program Returns
EXPLORA III will return to Alaska between May and September 2028, operating voyages across 20 destinations in the United States and Canada.
The itineraries include scenic cruising through the Inside Passage and Gulf of Alaska, alongside calls to Juneau, Skagway, Wrangell, and Klawock.
Luxury Cruise Market Continues Expansion
The Summer 2028 launch reflects continued growth in the global luxury cruise sector as operators expand into immersive destination-focused itineraries and longer premium voyages.
Explora Journeys said guests booking early will continue receiving access to its “Early Booking Benefit,” offering preferred pricing and priority suite selection for EXPLORA VI’s inaugural collection.
