Emirates has completed the first installation of Starlink internet on one of its Airbus A380 aircraft, marking the start of a wider rollout across its superjumbo fleet. The airline said the aircraft has returned to Dubai and is expected to enter regular service soon.

The move brings free, next-generation Wi-Fi to Emirates passengers on board its largest aircraft. Emirates said the system is now fitted to the first A380 in its fleet, which is the first of its kind anywhere in the world to receive the technology.

Starlink is a satellite internet service developed by SpaceX and designed to provide fast, low-latency connectivity in the air and on the ground. Emirates is using the system to upgrade onboard internet access for passengers across its long-haul network.
