Park Hyatt Dubai To Close For Final Renovation Phase From May 2026

Park Hyatt Dubai will temporarily close from May 2026 as it enters the final phase of a long-running renovation, marking the latest step in a multi-year transformation of one of the city’s most tranquil luxury resorts.

Set along the banks of Dubai Creek, the low-rise property has built a strong following over the years for its understated luxury, expansive green spaces and relaxed waterfront setting – a contrast to the high-rise intensity found elsewhere in the city.

The closure is part of a broader repositioning that has been underway since 2021, when plans were first unveiled to upgrade guest rooms, enhance public areas and integrate the hotel more closely into the wider Dubai Creek Resort destination.

While a reopening date has not yet been confirmed, further details are expected later this year as the project moves toward completion.

The renovation will also temporarily impact the hotel’s dining scene. Several of its most popular venues – including Brasserie du Park, NOÉPE and The Thai Kitchen – will pause operations during the closure. Known for everything from relaxed creekside lunches to sunset seafood dining and long-standing Thai cuisine, these outlets have been central to the property’s identity.

Before the doors close, guests still have a limited opportunity to experience the hotel in its current form. A “Stay & Return” offer is available for bookings between April 15 and 30, requiring a minimum two-night stay and providing added benefits, including incentives tied to the hotel’s future reopening.

The temporary shutdown places Park Hyatt Dubai within a wider pattern emerging across the city’s hospitality sector. As competition intensifies and new luxury openings continue to raise expectations, established properties are investing heavily in upgrades to maintain their appeal.

For Park Hyatt Dubai, the refurbishment represents more than routine maintenance – it is a strategic reset aimed at preserving its signature calm while elevating the overall experience for a new generation of travellers.

Other prominent properties currently undergoing similar transitions include Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City, Park Hyatt Dubai and Burj Al Arab, all of which are investing in upgrades, repositioning or phased closures.

For now, the coming weeks offer a final window to enjoy one of Dubai’s most serene hotel environments before it returns, reimagined, to compete in an increasingly dynamic luxury market.
