A new and highly unusual Christmas market is set to open in Warsaw this December, offering visitors a festive experience at an unprecedented height. The market will be located at the top of Varso Tower, the tallest skyscraper in the European Union, adding a dramatic new dimension to the city’s winter attractions.
The market will form part of Highline Warsaw, the tower’s observation and experience space, and will be accompanied by a special attraction called the Park of Lights in the Clouds. Through immersive light installations, the space will transform into a fairytale-like icy landscape suspended above the Polish capital.
According to the official press release, Highline Warsaw will be designed as “a winter fairytale floating between the sky and the city.” Visitors will be able to stroll among festive lights, Christmas ornaments, and decorations on the highest viewing platform in the EU. Christmas trees, oversized baubles, Nutcracker figures, and dedicated photo spots will be among the highlights, with panoramic views of Warsaw providing a striking backdrop.
On the 49th floor, guests can relax in HighGarden, a lounge area serving mulled wine and traditional seasonal treats. A programme of special winter events is planned throughout the season, including a Christmas music concert on 6 December, as well as themed gatherings and family-friendly activities.
Visitors will also be able to shop for winter and festive décor inspired by Warsaw at a store located on the 46th floor, offering souvenirs and decorative items linked to the city and the season.
The Christmas experience at Highline Warsaw will run from 1 December to 31 January, open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, opening hours will be reduced until 14:45, while on 1 January the venue will open from 12:00.
Tickets will be priced from 45 złoty when purchased online, or 70 złoty on site, positioning the attraction as a premium festive experience rather than a traditional street market.
By combining seasonal traditions with a record-breaking location, Warsaw’s new sky-high Christmas market is expected to become one of the most distinctive winter attractions in Europe, offering visitors a rare chance to experience the festive season above the clouds.
