IHG® Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to bring its globally loved Holiday Inn brand to Siliguri, West Bengal, with the signing of a management agreement alongside Four Vedas Hotels & Resorts Private Limited—a joint venture between Kaysons Group, Sagar Group, and Golden Goenka Group. The hotel is slated to open in 2027 and reflects IHG’s strategy of tapping into high-potential secondary markets across India.
Nestled at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, Siliguri is more than just a bustling city—it is a vital commercial gateway for North-East India, linking the region to the rest of the country and serving as a trade corridor with Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. This strategic location has made Siliguri a dynamic hub for commerce, logistics, and transport, fueling strong demand for quality hospitality options.
The upcoming Holiday Inn Siliguri is designed to meet that demand. With 111 rooms, three dining outlets, two flexible meeting spaces, and a fitness centre, the hotel will cater to both business and leisure travellers. Its city-centre location ensures accessibility to the growing MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) sector while also appealing to tourists drawn to the Himalayan foothills. Guests can expect Holiday Inn’s next-generation features, including the brand’s signature Open Lobby concept—a vibrant social hub where dining, working, and relaxing seamlessly come together.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed confidence in the project, noting Siliguri’s growing importance as both a transit and trade destination. “With its modern design, versatile offerings, and the trusted hospitality IHG is known for, the hotel will be a key addition to our expanding network in India,” he said.
The project also marks a milestone partnership between IHG and Four Vedas Hotels & Resorts. Speaking on behalf of the joint venture, Mr. Pradip Agarwal (Kaysons Group), Mr. Anil Goyal (Sagar Group), and Mr. Girdhari Lal Goenka (Golden Goenka Group) shared their vision: “With IHG’s strong brand equity, operational expertise, and international standards, we are confident Holiday Inn Siliguri will redefine hospitality in the city and emerge as a preferred choice for travellers.”
As Holiday Inn continues its evolution, the Siliguri property is set to blend international standards with local demand, positioning itself as a landmark destination for both corporate and leisure guests in the years ahead.
