LOT Polish Airlines Adds Year-Round Flights to Málaga from Warsaw

LOT Polish Airlines has announced a new year-round route connecting Warsaw to Málaga, set to begin on January 15, 2026. This new service brings the sun-soaked Costa del Sol even closer for Polish travelers, strengthening ties between Poland and southern Spain.

The Warsaw–Málaga route will operate throughout the year. During the winter season, LOT will fly four times a week—on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These flights will depart from Warsaw at 10:20 a.m. and return from Málaga at 3:35 p.m. Starting February 24, the frequency will increase to six times a week, offering even more flexibility for travelers heading to Andalusia.

Málaga now joins Madrid and Barcelona as LOT’s third all-year connection to Spain. The move is part of LOT’s 2024–2028 strategy, which focuses on matching flight offerings with rising travel demand and shifting passenger trends.

According to Robert Ludera, Prokurent and Director of the Network Planning Office at LOT Polish Airlines, opening the Málaga route is a response to growing market demand. “The Costa del Sol region has seen increasing popularity among Polish tourists. Last year alone, over 100,000 Poles traveled to this part of Spain,” he stated.

The region’s Mediterranean charm, historic and cultural richness, and distinctive Andalusian spirit make it a standout destination. Málaga, in particular, offers more than 300 sunny days a year and an average annual temperature of 23°C. It’s a city where summer seems to stretch beyond the calendar, giving travelers a warm escape no matter the season.

The introduction of this route not only caters to leisure travelers but also boosts business and cultural connections between Poland and Spain. LOT’s decision to add a regular connection to Málaga highlights the city’s growing appeal and its role as a gateway to the broader Andalusian region.

The flight time between Warsaw and Málaga will be approximately four hours. With this route, travelers can now easily access iconic southern Spanish cities and coastal towns, while also enjoying seamless travel with a trusted national carrier.

For LOT, this marks another step in building a modern and competitive route network, bringing popular international destinations closer to home for Polish passengers.
