Pegasus Airlines will soon establish its presence in East Jutland with a new direct route connecting Aarhus Airport (AAR) to Antalya Airport (AYT). Starting May 9, 2025, the route will offer a convenient travel option to the Turkish Riviera for over 1.3 million residents in the Aarhus region.
Antalya, a popular holiday destination and a strategic transit hub for Central Asia and the Middle East, is expected to attract a mix of tourists and travelers visiting family and friends. The new route caters to the 11,000 residents of Turkish descent in Aarhus, fostering stronger cultural and economic connections between Denmark and Turkey.
A Milestone Partnership
This route marks Pegasus Airlines’ debut in East Jutland, following successful discussions during the recent “Routes” development conference in Aarhus. The collaboration signifies a significant step forward for Aarhus Airport in meeting the demands of tour operators, vacationers, and the local Turkish community.

Improved Travel Accessibility for East Jutland
Currently, many residents of East Jutland travel to Turkey via Copenhagen or Hamburg, often adding significant time and cost to their journeys. With Aarhus Airport just a 30-minute drive from the city center, the new route provides a much-needed, accessible alternative for the region.
Sandsgaard emphasized the strategic value of the partnership: “Data shows there’s great untapped potential to increase accessibility to Turkey for the East Jutland population. We look forward to building a long-term partnership with Pegasus Airlines, focusing on sustained growth.”
Flight Schedule and Travel Convenience
The Aarhus-Antalya route will operate twice weekly, with flights scheduled on Mondays and Fridays.
- Aarhus to Antalya: Departs at 2:05 PM, arrives at 6:50 PM
- Antalya to Aarhus: Departs at 10:20 AM, arrives at 1:15 PM
