Frontier Airlines, known for its ultra-low-cost travel model, is stepping into the premium travel segment. The U.S.-based carrier has announced plans to introduce first-class seating on its aircraft, aiming to combine “luxury and value” for its customers.
According to a press release issued on December 3, the new seating option will feature two rows of first-class seats located at the front of the aircraft. Elite Gold members of Frontier’s loyalty program will enjoy free upgrades to this premium section, which is expected to launch in late 2025.
Expanded Perks for Frequent Flyers
The rollout of first-class seating is just one part of Frontier’s broader strategy to enhance its loyalty program. Starting early in the new year, Elite Gold members and higher-tier flyers will gain access to complimentary seat upgrades. By mid-2025, the airline plans to introduce “unlimited free companion travel” for Elite Platinum and Elite Diamond members. This perk allows travelers to bring a friend or family member on any flight at no additional cost.
Additionally, Frontier will enable loyalty program members to use accumulated miles to purchase bundled packages. These bundles will include seats, baggage options, and other ticket add-ons, providing greater flexibility and convenience for frequent flyers.
