British Airways has officially resumed flights to Bangkok, Thailand, after a four-year break, marking its return with the arrival of a flight from London Gatwick on October 29. The flight, which departed London at 21:15 on Monday, touched down at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 16:10 the next day. Passengers on board were warmly welcomed with traditional Thai dancers, flower garlands, and local gifts.
Initially, British Airways will operate three flights per week on this route, with plans to expand to five weekly flights by January and February 2025, before scaling to four flights per week in March 2025. Passengers can choose from three cabin classes—World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy), and Club World (business class)—with round-trip fares starting at £718.
Additionally, British Airways has expanded its codeshare partnership with Bangkok Airways, offering seamless connections to five popular holiday destinations from Bangkok. Travelers can journey to the tropical beaches of Koh Samui or Phuket, or explore the cultural attractions in northern Chiang Mai. The partnership also provides easy access to Cambodia, with flights to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, known for its proximity to the famous Angkor Wat temples.
