Royal Jordanian has resumed its regular flights to Moscow from Amman, the capital of Jordan, after a suspension caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The first flight saw a 90% passenger load.
In addition to Jordan, Royal Jordanian will connect Moscow with Gulf countries, the Levant region, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Layovers in Amman will allow Russian travelers to fly to destinations such as Jeddah, Medina, Riyadh, Erbil, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Beirut, Baghdad, Istanbul, Cairo, Barcelona, and Bangkok.
The airline, which has received national carrier status, plans to significantly expand its fleet from its current 23 aircraft to 43 over the next three years.
The route is served by an Airbus A320 with 165 seats in economy class and 16 in business class, with flights on Tuesdays and Fridays, enabling flexible travel durations.
In 2024, 24,100 Russian tourists visited Jordan, marking a 50% increase compared to the previous year.
