American Airlines Announces New European Routes for Summer 2025

American Airlines has confirmed its summer 2025 schedule to Europe, unveiling five new routes from major U.S. cities. The new flights will be operated using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and Boeing 777-200(ER) aircraft, accommodating 234 and 273 passengers, respectively.

Beginning between March and July 2025, these new routes will connect cities like Charlotte (CLT), Chicago (ORD), Miami (MIA), and Philadelphia (PHL) to popular European destinations, including Athens (ATH), Edinburgh (EDI), Madrid (MAD), Milan (MXP), and Rome (FCO).

In addition to the newly announced routes, American Airlines will continue operating the routes introduced in the summer of 2024, such as flights to Copenhagen (CPH), Naples (NAP), and Nice (NCE).

New Routes for 2025:

Chicago (ORD) – Madrid (MAD): Daily flights starting March 30th, 2025

Philadelphia (PHL) – Milan (MXP): Daily flights starting May 23rd, 2025

Charlotte (CLT) – Athens (ATH): Daily flights starting June 5th, 2025

Miami (MIA) – Rome (FCO): Daily flights starting July 5th, 2025

Philadelphia (PHL) – Edinburgh (EDI): Daily flights starting May 23rd, 2025

Dallas (DFW) – Barcelona (BCN): Daily service begins March 30th, 2025.

Miami (MIA) – Paris (CDG): Daily service extended into summer 2025.

Philadelphia (PHL) – Athens (ATH): Daily flights starting March 30th, 2025.

Philadelphia (PHL) – Naples (NAP): Daily flights begin May 5th, 2025.

These new routes will enhance American Airlines’ transatlantic offerings and provide travelers with more options to explore Europe.
