Turkish Airlines and Air China Sign Code-Sharing Agreement to Enhance Connectivity

Turkish Airlines and Air China have entered into a code-sharing agreement to improve connectivity between Turkey and China. The Turkish carrier announced that the deal marks “a significant milestone in the strategic cooperation between the airlines and lays the foundation for the future expansion of their strong partnership.”

The agreement, described as a “freesale code-sharing” arrangement, will initially apply to flights between Istanbul and Beijing, the capital of China.

The statement also noted that the freesale model will allow both airlines to offer passengers “flexibility and more travel options.”

“Both airlines expect this cooperation to significantly increase passenger traffic, fostering mutual growth and benefiting the entire aviation industry,” emphasized Turkish Airlines.
