Waldorf Astoria to open a luxurious five-star hotel in Minsk, on the banks of the Svislach River, along Yanka Kupala Street. The site was previously occupied by the “BelExpo” exhibition center.
The developer, Royal Development Company from the UAE, has labeled the project “one of the largest international development endeavors in Belarus.”
The hotel will span 34.8 thousand square meters and boast 192 rooms, multiple dining venues and bars, a nightclub, a casino, a spa and beauty salon, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.
Waldorf Astoria will mark the fifth Hilton property in Belarus, the second five-star establishment in the country, and the first of its caliber. Alongside it in Minsk are DoubleTree By Hilton Minsk, Hampton by Hilton Minsk City Centre, and The Basilian Minsk Curio Collection by Hilton. In Brest, there’s the Hampton by Hilton Brest.
In 2023, Minsk catered to travelers with 48 hotels, four hostels, two dormitory-style accommodations, seven hotel complexes, and nine other lodging options.
