Thailand Travel Restrictions Are Back. At a meeting of four ministries on Thursday, it was decided that tourists entering Thailand must have at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of January 6th, 2023.
Under the new directives, all incoming international travelers must provide proof of at least two vaccinations and health insurance with COVID-19 coverage. Outbound passengers traveling to a country that requires an on-arrival negative RT-PCR test result are also required to submit evidence of insurance with COVID-19 health coverage. Additionally, officials advise travelers to wear facemasks in public spaces.
When the country began fully reopening to tourists last October, Thailand travel restrictions were removed.
Due to concern over potential new Covid-19 variants from China, many countries have demanded pre-departure tests for Chinese visitors. They include Japan, the United States, Australia, and many European countries.
