In the UK, 27% of UK adults own a dog (with an estimated 10.2 million pet dogs). So the need to involve our pets in everything we do is paramount, and staycations are no different.
Thankfully, brand new research from Stelrad has revealed the absolute best pet-friendly hotels in the UK that cater for ourselves and our pooches.
At the top of the list is Berkshire, with the highest combined rating of 13.7 for 3 combined pet-friendly hotels in the UK. Although this is the highest-rated location for pet-friendly hotels around the UK, it is also one of the most expensive areas to stay over the bank holiday weekend. For a three-night stay between 26th-29th August, hotels in the Berkshire area could cost up to £4,082. If you have a spare £2,310 this bank holiday, you could stay at Cliveden House, the highest-rated pet-friendly hotel in Berkshire, at 4.6.
London is the next best county for pet-friendly hotels with the second highest total rating of 12.6, which includes three hotels: The Stratford Hotel London with a 4.4 star rating, The Adria with a 4.2 star rating and the Hotel Rafayel with a 4 star rating. With 1,386 total reviews, London ranks seventh, and yet is the second most expensive place to stay over the bank holiday weekend, with an estimated spend of up to £2,710.
Devon ranks third with a combined rating of 9.4. And you’ll find in joint second the best-rated pet-friendly hotel, Gidleigh Park with an individual rating of 4.8 out of 5.
