From September 23, the Kingdom of Bhutan will be ready again, after a two-year break due to the pandemic, to receive foreign tourists. The corresponding announcement was published on June 29 by the Bhutan Tourism Board. Detailed entry conditions will be published later. Now the country is closed for foreign tourists.
The kingdom decided to change its entry policy somewhat. The adjustments will affect the amount of the daily eco-tax from each foreign tourist.
It is tripled – from 65 to 200 dollars (10.2 thousand rubles). Such an amount will be charged from the tourist for each day of stay in the country, simply “for the environment”, in addition, the tourist pays for the tour, accommodation, services, food, etc.
