Three Exciting New Shops Open at Hatton Shopping Village

Hatton Shopping Village, the English shopping village in Warwickshire popular with groups, has welcomed three exciting new businesses to complement its mix of over 20 unique and independent retailers – ‘Dotty’s & Doodles’, ‘Silver Tree Bakery’, and ‘Stitched Up’.

When many businesses on the high street have been forced to close because of the pandemic, Hatton has been bucking the trend despite the uncertainties and obstacles that 2021 has brought. Situated outdoors in the countryside, the shopping village has enabled its visitors to benefit from plenty of fresh air and space to socially distance.

Dotty’s & Doodles offers a selection of handpicked items, from cards and gift-wrap to home decor, and gifts. There are also lots of accessories for animal lovers including dog friendly candles, coats, doggie Christmas cake and treats. Dogs are also most welcome with treats behind the counter! Rachel Watts, owner, said “I have always loved Hatton and I’m delighted to be opening my first independent shop here. It’s an exciting time for us and we could not be more thrilled”.

Silver Tree Bakery opens on 4 December and brings over 20 years of industry experience to Hatton. Their delicious breads, pastries, cakes, and savouries are baked fresh daily in-house using the finest and most locally sourced ingredients.

Stitched Up is a Bridal alterations specialist as well as offering wedding dress cleaning. The shop is by appointment only to provide a dedicated and professional bridal alteration experience. Gemma Owen, owner, said “We are delighted to expand into Hatton Shopping Village. We love the rustic charm of the premises and cannot wait for our brides to enjoy everything Hatton has to offer”.

Johnnie Arkwright, owner of Hatton Country World, said: “Being in the countryside has been a real plus for the small local independent retailers at Hatton. We are thrilled to welcome several new, unusual shops to complement our ‘Not on The High Street’ rule – just in time for Christmas Shopping and our Outdoor Christmas Markets. It is amazing how resilient our small retailers have been with the forced closures of the last 18 months but equally how keen our customers have been to support our local independent shops”.

The popular Christmas markets take place every weekend until the 19 December and sell a range of unique and special Christmas gifts from local suppliers. Visitors can also enjoy live Christmas singers and hot toddies from Alfie’s Café, all wrapped up in a great festive atmosphere.
