The Chinese version of the international travel health certificate was officially launched yesterday on the WeChat mini program, available for Chinese citizens.
The travel health certificate includes nucleic acid test and serum antibody results, vaccination status and other information. The health certificate contains an encrypted QR code to allow authorities to verify its authenticity and the holder’s personal information.
The certificate will be available in two formats, digital and in paper.
“With more countries and China achieving mutual recognition of health codes in the near future, the Chinese version of health certificate for outbound travelers will play a more important role in facilitating the healthy, safe and orderly flow of cross-border personnel,” said according to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
