Allegiant Adds New Seasonal Routes from San Diego

Allegiant will soon add seasonal nonstop service from five U.S. cities to San Diego International Airport (SAN). All five cities are new to SAN’s nonstop network and will bring Allegiant’s total nonstop destination offering to 12 during the peak summer travel season.

Cities that will have twice-weekly flights to SAN include:

· Kalispell, Mont. via Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) – beginning May 28.

· Pasco, Wash. via Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) – beginning May 28.

· Bozeman, Mont. via Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) – beginning June 3.

· Des Moines, Iowa via Des Moines International airport (DSM) – beginning July 1.

Allegiant will also offer four seasonal weekly flights from Mesa Ariz. via Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) beginning May 27. While SAN has long had nonstop service to Phoenix-Sky Harbor International (PHX), the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is located 45 minutes east of Downtown Phoenix and will connect San Diego to another airport in the greater Phoenix area.

“San Diego is a top destination for those wanting to get outdoors and vacation in a socially distanced manner,” said Kimberly Becker, San Diego County Regional Airport Authority President and CEO. “These new routes also provide San Diegans the opportunity to explore historic landmarks and hidden gems across the North and Midwest regions of the United States. We appreciate Allegiant’s growing commitment to providing low-cost, nonstop service to San Diego.”

Allegiant is quickly becoming one of the fastest-growing carriers in San Diego. They were the only carrier to increase seat capacity out of SAN in 2020, adding new destinations including Idaho Falls, Idaho and Medford, Ore. To view schedules, fares, and flight times, please visit allegiant.com.
