Exhibition and Congress Activities Resumed in Moscow

In accordance with the decree of the mayor of Moscow from September, 4 exhibitions and congresses are resumed in Moscow in full, taking into account the requirements of sanitary and epidemiological safety.

It has become the next step to remove the restrictions established in March this year. The implementation of congress and exhibition activities has been resumed in Moscow full in compliance with the requirements aimed at preventing the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

The convention and exhibition industry in Moscow has become one of the most affected sectors of the economy. And all this time, the Russian Convention Bureau, together with other industry associations, took an active part in developing recommendations on support measures and removing the stressful component of the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on the industry, on measures to ensure sanitary and epidemiological safety for congress exhibition events. These initiatives, aimed at the early recovery of the industry, became one of the key activities of the RCB during the period of restrictions.

In his address to the industry participants, Director of the Russian Convention Bureau Alexey Kalachev noted: “We have gone through difficult times together. It was during this challenging time that it became apparent that by joining industry forces, demonstrating sustainability and confidence in the future, we can get the desired results. We are sure that many of our colleagues did not give up, but used the situation to find alternatives, revise business strategies and processes, expand competencies, which will now help to enter a new stage and increase the pace of overcoming the crisis. We hope that soon the situation in other regions of Russia will stabilize and congress and exhibition activity will receive a new impetus for development”.
