Hertz Announces Gold Standard Clean

Hertz announces ‘Gold Standard Clean’, a 15-point enhanced car cleaning process that follows World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines

Hertz announces ‘Gold Standard Clean’, a 15-point enhanced car cleaning process that follows World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines, and double points Gold Plus Rewards will mean a more rewarding car hire experience for Europeans this summer.

With travellers keen to avoid public transportation due to safety concerns, this new solution aims to offer travellers increased peace of mind whilst enjoying summer travel.

Data suggests1 that the lockdown has spurred a new wave of enthusiasm for staycations and road trips. Additionally, more than a quarter (29 per cent) of Europeans1 are keen to avoid public transportation due to safety concerns and Hertz sanitised rental solutions can offer travellers more peace of mind.

Hertz Gold Standard Clean
‘Hertz Gold Standard Clean’ is an enhanced cleaning and sanitisation process that concludes with each vehicle being sealed for assurance before each rental.

Wider cleanliness and safety actions are also in place including staff retraining, mandatory use of personal protection equipment and social distancing procedures, to protect employees, customers and the communities where Hertz operates.

Double Points
With customers turning their thoughts to domestic travel, Hertz is launching a new, double points offer for all ‘Gold Plus Rewards’ members who book directly on hertz.com.
The ‘Gold Plus Rewards’ programme allows members to skip the counter and go straight to their car maintaining social distancing throughout their rental experience. Members can also earn points redeemable for reward rental days and benefit from complimentary upgrades providing the ultimate in car rental satisfaction.

“Our customers expect, and we provide, a fast, flexible and safe rental experience that offers great value. We will ensure key workers, leisure customers, essential business travellers and partners can rely on us and can book with confidence.”
