Quantum of the Seas to Sail from the Pacific Northwest

Royal Caribbean International game-changing ship, Quantum of the Seas, will give guests the chance to immerse themselves in unforgettable Alaskan destinations when it sails from the Pacific Northwest for the first time in May 2021. Marking the cruise line’s biggest Alaska season yet with four ships, Quantum will make her Seattle debut, sailing 7-night cruises, leaving on Mondays, alongside sister ship Ovation of the Seas, which will continue departing on Fridays.

Quantum’s summer 2021 Alaska itineraries open for sale today. The additional cruises build on Royal Caribbean’s previously announced summer deployment for Ovation, Radiance and Serenade of the Seas, sailing from Seattle, Vancouver, British Columbia, and Seward, Alaska.

Multigenerational families will have more opportunities than ever to make memories day and night with maxed-out adventures, deck-defying thrills and stunning views of Alaska’s natural beauty on Quantum’s bucket-list worthy cruises. From sailing through Endicott Arm Fjord with 360-degree views of the Alexander Archipelago to kayaking in the Sitka Sound and panning for gold in Juneau, the unique scenery and experiences of the Last Frontier will make for unforgettable vacations.

On board, one-of-a-kind experiences come to life for guests in cutting-edge and transformative venues, such as Two70 with its expansive floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking 270-degree views of the ocean by day and transforming into an unparalleled theater by night. The high-tech lounge also known for its signature Roboscreens – a troupe of six agile screens, each measuring over 7 feet tall, controlled by nimble robotic arms – features next-generation entertainment that seamlessly fuses performance art and technology for immersive, live theatrical productions. New to Quantum, a new signature game makes its debut on guest’s mobile devices. Expedition Two70, available exclusively in the multifaceted lounge, is a custom, room-scale augmented reality experience that transports guests to a different world of adventure through action-packed challenges.

The adventures continue aboard Quantum with a bold lineup of activities, including the North Star glass observation capsule that rises 300 feet above sea level, skydiving and surfing, cocktails served by robots at the Bionic Bar, and SeaPlex, the largest indoor activity space at sea – home to bumper cars, trapeze school, roller skating, a basketball court and gaming. The ship also features 18 dining options serving up flavors from around the globe, ranging from imaginative cuisine at Wonderland and authentic rustic fare and handmade pasta at Jamie’s Italian.
