SunExpress continues to grow: With its summer flight schedule for 2019, the joint venture between Deutsche Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines offers travelers a route network of over 90 destinations in 30 countries, including popular holiday destinations in Turkey, Bulgaria and Greece. Frequencies to Hurghada in Egypt will be increased significantly and Tunisia is celebrating a comeback with flights from three German cities. The trend destination Beirut is added to the route network for the first time. As a leading provider of direct connections to Turkey, SunExpress is significantly expanding its range of flights to the hotspots of the Turkish Riviera, Aegean and to Anatolia. Compared to the 2018 summer flight schedule, the company has again increased its seating capacity in its core markets by 15 percent. SunExpress takes off from 18 airports in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as from 37 airports in Europe. The summer schedule is valid for departures starting end of March 2019 and can be booked directly at www.sunexpress.com, at travel agencies or through tour operator partners.

SunExpress departs daily from several airports in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, connecting central Europe with the Turkish Riviera by offering a total of 3.5 million seats in its 2019 summer flight schedule to Antalya, more than ever before in the company’s history. Düsseldorf remains the busiest airport with six daily connections, followed by Cologne-Bonn with five frequencies and Frankfurt three daily departures. From Basel and Zurich, SunExpress is strengthening its presence and is expanding in particular its weekend connections to Antalya with three daily flights each. The airline is also increasing frequencies from Vienna to Antalya up to three daily connections.
In the upcoming summer SunExpress will add 400,000 seats to its connections to Izmir, bringing the total offered seats to 1.6 million. There are several daily connections from many German airports, including increasing connections from Düsseldorf, Hanover, Munich and Stuttgart to the trend destination Izmir. In addition, the airline offers numerous connecting flights from Izmir to Anatolia. Starting in March, the popular holiday destinations Dalaman and Bodrum will be connected by SunExpress with increasing services: Departing every Saturday from Berlin and twice a week from Düsseldorf, Cologne-Bonn and Stuttgart. Bodrum will also be served three times a week from Düsseldorf.
Thirty percent more seat capacity to Anatolia
Direct flights to Anatolia are SunExpress‘ fastest growing business due to the high demand by people in Germany, Switzerland and Austria visiting friends and relatives at home in Anatolia. The daily connection between Munich and Ankara included in the winter flight schedule will be increased to a total of eleven flights per week next summer. From Düsseldorf, SunExpress offers nine weekly connections to the Turkish capital and two new frequencies to Küthaya/Zafer and Malatya. Passengers can also travel directly from Düsseldorf to Adana, Kayseri, Diyarbakir and Samsun-Çarşamba.
New connections to Beirut and to further warm water destinations
In summer 2019, SunExpress will be offering flights from Stuttgart and Düsseldorf to the Lebanese capital Beirut for the first time. This is an exciting destination especially for those interested in culture. Flights to Tunisia will be added to the route network with connections from Cologne-Bonn, Leipzig/Halle and Stuttgart to Enfidha-Hammamet. The flight schedule also offers connections to Varna and Burgas in Bulgaria as well as to the Greek island of Crete. There are even more departures to Egypt: Passengers from Düsseldorf, Cologne-Bonn, Frankfurt, Hanover, Leipzig/Halle and Stuttgart can look forward to flights to the holiday paradise of Hurghada on the Red Sea.
Expansion of the European SunExpress network with four more destinations
Outside the German-speaking countries SunExpress also connects cities like Oslo, Gothenburg, Eindhoven and Prague with the holiday destination Antalya. Furthermore, passengers from Eindhoven enjoy connections to Izmir. Between May and November the airline will continue its services from London-Luton to Izmir, Antalya and Bodrum with two connections per week as well as one weekly flight to Ankara and Gaziantep. Due to high demand, flights from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle, Brussels and Copenhagen will also start in February.
„With our route network and capacity, we are optimally prepared for summer 2019 and offer our passengers a wide range of travel options to popular hot water destinations on medium-haul routes.
