Virgin Hotel Opens in San Francisco

Featuring 192 Chambers and two Penthouse Suites, Virgin Hotels’ newest venture is ready for business. As well as multiple dining and drinking outlets, including the brand’s flagship space, Commons Club and Funny Library Coffee Shop, it also boasts numerous meeting spaces and the city’s newest rooftop bar, Everdene.

Located at 250 4th Street, Virgin Hotels San Francisco is just steps from Yerba Buena Gardens and the Moscone Center. The hotel is also close to the new Central Subway Station in South of Market (SoMa), which will bring connections with Union Square and Chinatown when it opens later this year.

The 192 Chambers feature Virgin Hotels’ signature two-room concept – giving travellers a separate Dressing Room, which includes a full vanity, makeup desk and expertly-lit mirror, an extra-large shower with a bench, and a closet for two. A sliding wooden door separates it from The Lounge, where travellers will find Virgin’s patented ergonomically designed lounge bed, a red Smeg mini-fridge stocked with street-priced snacks, a yoga mat, round wood table, a custom-designed bench, and ample outlets for smartphones, laptops or any other electrical devices.

Virgin Hotels San Francisco provides guests with multiple dining and drinking options including the contemporary, chic Commons Club. Designed to feel like a ‘members only’ experience that is open to all, it is situated at the main entrance to the hotel.

Executive Chef Adrian Garcia, formerly of Benu and Quince, will offer modern cuisine with international influence at The Kitchen and will showcase outstanding seasonal ingredients that have been thoughtfully selected from local and specialty purveyors and producers.

Located on the 12th floor, Everdene is one of the few rooftops in the city offering nearly 360-degree views of San Francisco. Designed in partnership with Gensler San Francisco, the 4,000 square-foot rooftop features three distinct spaces – The Salon, home to a 25-foot wraparound bar; The Patio, an outdoor space featuring a large communal table where patrons can indulge in refreshing cocktails while lounging beneath a garden trellis; and The Secret Garden Lounge, an intimate VIP lounge accessible via a signature Virgin-red garden gate crowned with foliage.
