Italian airline Meridiana has announced that it will begin serving Miami International Airport with four weekly flights from Milan starting June 8, utilizing recently refurbished 247-seat Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Miami will join New York as the carrier’s two U.S. destinations.
After its summer 2018 expansion, Meridiana’s network from Milan will include 17 destinations in Italy, Africa, Russia, China, the U.S. and the Caribbean. Meridiana will increase MIA’s current service options to Italy, which include nonstop flights to Milan by American Airlines and Rome service by Alitalia. MIA serves more than 288,000 passengers annually to and from Italy.
To launch the new destination, Meridiana economy roundtrip fares are now available to fly from Milan Malpensa to Miami, starting from $489 USD.
