Consulate of France in Moscow issued about 120 thousand visas during the first six months of 2010. The growth amounted to 15% in comparison with the same indicators of last year. The majority of visas were issued for tourist purposes. France issued for less than 30% of visas during the six months of last year in comparison with the same period of 2008.

Russia is one of Cuba’s fastest-growing tourist-sending markets, according to statistics during the first semester of 2010. The National Statistics Office noted that 23,000 Russian travelers visited the country during the first six months of the year.

Travel flow from Russia grew by almost 43%

Travel flow from Russia for the first six months of 2010 increased by 42, 7% (5.4 million) compared to the same period of last year. The highest growth rates demonstrates Thailand (118%) and Lithuania (92, 3%), the flow of Russian tourists in Finland are almost at the same level (plus 8, 6%).
