Azerbaijan Airlines has signed a new agreement with travel technology company Amadeus to deploy revenue management, shopping and distribution tools across its operation.
The flag carrier said the deal would speed up its digital transformation, support demand and improve the passenger experience through smarter pricing and wider distribution.
The partnership adds Azerbaijan Airlines to a growing list of carriers working with technology companies to automate pricing, improve sales channels and use customer data more effectively. For airlines, these systems are now seen as a key part of trying to increase revenue while keeping fares competitive.
Amadeus is one of the best-known companies in the aviation technology sector. It provides booking, retailing and operational software to airlines, airports and travel sellers around the world.
Azerbaijan Airlines, also known as AZAL, is the national carrier of Azerbaijan. It operates domestic and international routes and has been expanding its digital services as airlines seek to recover and grow after years of disruption in global travel.
Revenue management systems help airlines set prices based on demand, booking patterns and seat availability. Shopping tools allow carriers to present offers to customers in a more flexible way, while distribution systems help them sell tickets through a wider range of channels.
