Design Hotels Announces Largest Portfolio Expansion With 16 Palisociety Properties

Design Hotels has announced the largest portfolio expansion in its history through a landmark agreement that will add 16 Palisociety-operated hotels across the United States.

The partnership brings more than 1,000 rooms into the Design Hotels collection and significantly strengthens the brand’s presence in key American destinations. The move also represents a major milestone for Palisociety, the Los Angeles-based hospitality company known for its design-led hotels, neighborhood-focused experiences and independent spirit.

With the addition of the new properties, Design Hotels is expected to surpass 100 member hotels across the Americas for the first time, reinforcing its position as one of the leading collections of independent lifestyle hotels worldwide.

Largest Expansion In Design Hotels History

The agreement covers 16 hotels located across nine destinations in the United States, including properties in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palm Springs, Seattle, Memphis, Wilmington and Albuquerque.

The hotels will join Design Hotels over the coming months, creating the largest single portfolio addition since the brand was founded. The expansion includes properties operating under Palisociety’s various brands, including Palihouse, Palihotel, Le Petit Pali and ARRIVE.

Together, the additions represent more than 1,000 guest rooms and further expand Design Hotels’ footprint in some of the country’s most popular urban and leisure destinations.

Shared Focus On Design And Local Identity

The partnership brings together two hospitality brands that have built their reputations around individuality, storytelling and strong connections to local communities.

Design Hotels, part of Marriott International, currently represents more than 300 independently owned hotels worldwide. The collection focuses on properties that combine distinctive architecture, original design concepts and authentic local experiences.

Palisociety has developed a similar philosophy since its founding in Los Angeles in 2008, creating hotels that reflect the character of their neighborhoods while maintaining a strong emphasis on design and personalized hospitality.

Portfolio Includes Hotels Across Major U.S. Destinations

The properties joining Design Hotels include Palihouse West Hollywood, Palihotel Melrose, Palihotel Hollywood, Palihotel Palm Springs and Palihotel San Francisco, among others.

The agreement also includes boutique properties such as Le Petit Pali Brentwood, Le Petit Pali Laguna Beach and Le Petit Pali St. Helena in California’s Napa Valley.

Additional hotels include ARRIVE Albuquerque, ARRIVE Palm Springs, ARRIVE Memphis and ARRIVE Wilmington, as well as independent properties Silver Lake Pool & Inn and The Hôtel Lili Beverly Hills.

Benefits Of Marriott And Design Hotels Membership

By joining Design Hotels, the properties will gain access to a range of services including public relations, sales support, digital marketing, web development and content creation.

The hotels will also benefit from Marriott International’s global distribution network, helping increase visibility among international travelers and loyalty members.

In the coming months, the properties are expected to become part of the Marriott Bonvoy platform, allowing guests to earn and redeem points while accessing member benefits across Marriott’s global portfolio.

Boutique Hospitality Continues To Grow

The agreement highlights the continued growth of the boutique and lifestyle hospitality sector, where travelers increasingly seek unique accommodations that offer a stronger sense of place and local character.

Founded by entrepreneur Avi Brosh, Palisociety has grown into a collection of more than 20 hotels, residences and restaurants known for blending residential comfort, thoughtful design and community-driven experiences.

For Design Hotels, the addition reinforces its commitment to supporting independent hotel owners and operators whose properties prioritize creativity, authenticity and original design. The partnership also strengthens the collection’s position in North America as demand for boutique hospitality experiences continues to expand.
