Norwegian Cruise Line has officially launched the second New York homeport season for Norwegian Aqua, as the newly built vessel begins a series of Bermuda cruises from Manhattan.
The ship recently arrived at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal after completing its winter deployment from PortMiami.
Norwegian Aqua Begins Bermuda Sailings From New York
The 2025-built Norwegian Aqua is now operating five- to eight-night itineraries from New York City.
All cruises include extended stays in Bermuda, with visits to the Royal Naval Dockyard lasting between two and three days depending on the itinerary length.
The Bermuda-focused deployment will continue through mid-October before the vessel returns to Miami for the winter cruise season.
Additional Norwegian Ships Scheduled For New York
Norwegian Cruise Line is also planning a wider New York presence in 2026 with several additional ships scheduled to operate from the city.
The Norwegian Escape is set to join Norwegian Aqua in late August, offering cruises to the Caribbean as well as Canada and New England.
Its seasonal deployment from Manhattan is expected to continue through late September.
Norwegian Sun To Make Transitional New York Visit
Following a summer season in Europe, Norwegian Sun will arrive in New York City in October for a turnaround visit after completing a transatlantic crossing.
The ship is then scheduled to depart on a repositioning voyage to Miami.
Norwegian Cruise Line previously confirmed Norwegian Sun is expected to leave the fleet in 2027.
Norwegian Bliss To Operate Winter Caribbean Cruises
In November, Norwegian Bliss will take over the company’s winter operations from New York.
The vessel will operate cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean, including visits to Port Canaveral, Nassau and Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island destination Great Stirrup Cay.
Longer itineraries will also include ports in the Eastern Caribbean such as Tortola, Basseterre, Philipsburg and Puerto Plata.
Norwegian Luna To Arrive Ahead Of 2027 Season
Norwegian Cruise Line also confirmed that the new Norwegian Luna will make its New York debut ahead of the 2027 summer season.
The growing deployment reflects continued demand for cruise departures from the New York region as cruise lines expand Northeast homeport operations and Bermuda itineraries.
