The first vessel to debut the new look is Carnival Legend, which has returned to service following a 16-day dry dock refurbishment.
New “From Sea To Shining Sea” Crest Introduced
The 88,500-gross-ton cruise ship emerged from dry dock featuring a newly designed bow crest titled “From Sea to Shining Sea.”
Carnival said the artwork was inspired by the song “America the Beautiful” and celebrates the landscapes and coastlines of the United States.
The redesign forms part of Carnival’s wider America250 celebrations ahead of the country’s semiquincentennial anniversary in 2026.
Design To Roll Out Across Carnival Fleet
Carnival confirmed the new bow crest will gradually appear across most of its US-based ships during future dry docks and new ship deliveries.
Exceptions include Carnival Jubilee and the upcoming Carnival Tropicale, which already feature the Texas star symbol on their bows.
The next ship scheduled to receive the new crest is Carnival Magic following its return from dry dock in Miami on 26 May.
Veterans Invited To Special Reveal Event
To mark the unveiling, Carnival hosted veterans from the Miami Veterans Affairs Healthcare System aboard Carnival Legend during a special event in Miami.
Veterans attending the ceremony received commemorative America250 challenge coins recognising their service.
Patriotic Events Planned Across Fleet
Carnival will continue its America250 celebrations throughout June and early July with themed onboard events across the fleet.
Activities will include patriotic trivia, crafts, themed gatherings and organised fireworks viewing events during the Fourth of July holiday period.
Carnival Legend Returns To Bahamas Cruises
Following the completion of its refurbishment, Carnival Legend resumed operations from Miami with a four-day round-trip cruise to the Bahamas.
The itinerary includes calls at Nassau and Carnival’s private destination Half Moon Cay before returning to Florida.
Cruise Industry Increasingly Embraces Themed Experiences
Cruise operators continue investing heavily in onboard entertainment, branding and themed guest experiences as competition intensifies across the global cruise market.
Major anniversaries, national celebrations and destination-focused experiences have become increasingly important tools for cruise lines seeking to strengthen customer engagement and brand identity.
