Formula E Returns To Monaco As DS Automobiles Targets Another Victory

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns to Monaco this weekend as teams prepare for two crucial races on one of the most iconic circuits in world motorsport.

The Monaco E-Prix will take place across May 16 and 17, with the 10 teams competing in the all-electric racing series battling for valuable championship points on the streets of Monte Carlo.

Among the manufacturers aiming for a strong result is DS Automobiles, which has already secured two Formula E victories in Monaco and is targeting another successful weekend with drivers Maximilian Günther and Taylor Barnard.

DS Automobiles Chasing More Monaco Formula E Success

DS Automobiles previously claimed victory in Monaco with Jean-Eric Vergne in 2019 and Antonio Felix Da Costa in 2021, establishing the French manufacturer as one of the most successful teams on the historic street circuit.

The Stellantis-owned premium brand is once again partnering with PENSKE AUTOSPORT for the Monaco double-header and hopes to remain among the frontrunners throughout the weekend.

Strong results in Monaco could prove significant in the wider Formula E championship battle as the 2026 season intensifies.

Special DS N°7 To Highlight Formula E Technology Transfer

To mark one of the biggest events on the Formula E calendar, DS Automobiles will also present a specially designed DS N°7 featuring a bespoke black-and-gold livery.

The vehicle, described as the direct successor to the DS 7, will complete demonstration laps around the Monaco circuit ahead of the first race.

The showcase is intended to highlight the transfer of electric technology and performance development from Formula E racing into road-going production vehicles.

Monaco Remains Formula E’s Showcase Event

The Monaco E-Prix continues to be one of the championship’s most prestigious and high-profile races, attracting global attention thanks to the principality’s famous harbourfront setting and challenging street layout.

The races are scheduled to begin at 15:00 CET on both Saturday and Sunday.

Since entering Formula E, DS Automobiles has built one of the strongest records in the championship, achieving four championship titles, 18 race victories, 55 podium finishes and 26 pole positions across 145 races.

The Monaco weekend is expected to play an important role in shaping the remainder of the Formula E season as teams continue fighting for championship positions.
